One Dark Night / The Boogey Man - Double Feature of The Month!

Horrify Your Summer Nights With These Two Low Budget Gems!

Cover up your mirrors and stay out of that mausoleum, it’s double feature time!!! This month’s double feature are actually the first two horror flicks I ever saw as a kid. I absolutely love them and don't care how corny they are, they're both great 80's fun!!

The Boogey Man (1980)
This movie is basically about a young girl, Lacey, who witnesses her brother murder a man through the reflection of a mirror. Twenty years later, after the mirror has been shattered, Lacey must defeat the man‘s evil spirit that has been set free and is seeking revenge through the shards of glass.

Though this movie is very low budget, the death scenes are creative and fun, the story is not too bad and the music is very interesting. There are seriously some cheesy scenes in this movie but it definitely makes it fun and worth watching.

One Dark Night (1983)
In this movie, a young girl must stay all night in a mausoleum as part of her initiation. Entombed in the same mausoleum is Raymar, a man who possessed telekinetic powers. Using his powers, Raymar returns and commands the undead to awaken and start killing bitches!

What I absolutely love about this film are the end scenes with the gorgeous decaying bodies and the various shots of the mausoleum. The lighting is perfectly eerie and the music is odd and creepy.

The Pink Angels/Run Angel Run Double Feature of the Month!

Grab your old lady or man, get on your chopper and cause some havoc at your local bar cause it's biker double feature month!! Here are two awesome, bad ass picks! The Pink Angels and Run Angel Run!

The Pink Angels 1971
So basically this about a group of gay bikers that are traveling to Los Angeles to attend a cotillion. Of course, they meet a lot of crazy people along the way and get into some trouble. I absolutely love this flick, it's funny, the lead biker is hot and it's just fun and wacky. The opening credits are really nicely shot as well....just a random thought.

Run, Angel, Run! 1969
Here is another biker flick that rules! This one is about Angel, a biker who is on the run with his girlfriend. After giving a revealing story about his gang to Life magazine, Angel and his old lady go on the run to avoid getting their asses wasted by Angel's biker buddies. This one has a little love story going on which makes it different from most biker flicks. It has more heart, character and some corny ass lines. Also, the split and multi-screen parts during the chase scene are just too damn AWESOME!!!

Race with The Devil & Mother’s Day – Double Feature Of The Month

I completely missed last month's Movie of the Month...sorry about that. To make up for that, this month will be a double feature!! Race with the Devil and Mother's Day! Yes, I had to include Mother's Day since it's on Sunday.

Race with the Devil

I absolutely love films where the main characters can't trust anyone. After witnessing a murder, Peter Fonda and Warren Oates are chased and terrorized by a town of devil worshippers. Of course, all they can do is try to get the hell away from them and when that doesn't work, they fight back. This movie has the most bad ass chase scenes in an R.V. that I've ever seen! Check this one out!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day, by Charles Kaufman, is a cheap, filthy, repulsive and awesome movie! Because it's a low budget film, it's creative!!! In this flick, a group of women on a camping trip are captured and tortured by a woman and her crazy, psychotic sons. The torture scenes are brutal and sick and the revenge scenes are fun and inventive. Definitely give this one a try. And......watch out for Queenie!!!!!

Double Feature Of Horror!

If you're in the Los Angeles area, skip the crappy horror remakes and watch some REAL horror!
