Halloween Horrorthon - Movie Of The Month

I LOVE Halloween, it's the best time to catch so many horror flicks on television. Only bad part is, they play the same crap each year. Here are a few of my favorite horror movies to watch the hell out of during October. If you have any to add, go for it!!

Alice, Sweet Alice (1976)

One of my favorite horror flicks. The masks in this movie completely freak me out. This one is definitely creepy, strange, has some bizarre characters and a great story.

Blood Feast (1963)

Splatter! Splatter! Splatter! If you love lots of blood and yummy gore, check out this 60's splatter classic. No one does it better than H.G. Lewis!

The Changeling (1980)

Nothing freaks me out more than haunted houses! This movie does such an amazing job and scaring the hell out of you. George C. Scott stars in this horror film and is awesome but the best character in this film is the house! It is seriously creepy.

Cemetery Of Terror (1985)

Zombies, ghosts, murderers, corpse robbers, and some terrified little kids make this Mexican horror flick a fun watch!

Tombs of the Blind Dead (1971)

Beautifully shot, this horror film takes you on one spooky ride! The Templar Knights are slow moving, creepy, and love to eat flesh. The colors are gorgeous and the soundtrack is haunting.

Phantasm (1979)

This is a flick that deserves its own genre. And though it isn't, it seems very Italian to me for some reason. The characters is this flick are all really good BUT, the "Tall Man" is the best! He doesn't need a knife, razors, an axe or a scary mask to be frightening. He just is!

Race With The Devil (1975)

This is one of those films where you can't trust anyone! You never know who is watching you from the darkness! Peter Fonda and Warren Oates kick ass in this flick with probably the coolest motorhome chase scene ever! Lol!

Zombie (1979)

I adore this movie!! Fulci does an amazing job with the undead! The zombies in this movie are putrid, slow moving and freaky as hell. The soundtrack is also incredible and works so great with the film! If you haven't checked this one out yet then you're no zombie fan!!!

One Dark Night (1983)

This is a simple horror film but it still packs a good scare. The Mausoleum scenes are beautifully shot and the corpses look oh so yummy...rotten and icky!!!

Near Dark (1983)

If you're tired of all the sissy vampire movies that have been coming out lately, check this baby out. Though it's a love story, it isn't a sappy one.

Watch The Trailer

Suspiria (1977)

One of Dario Argento's best, Suspiria is moving art. Right away you're sucked into a world of bold primary colors, bizarre angles and eerie music by Goblin. This is an amazing dark fairytale.

Spider Baby (1968)

One of the most bizarre horror flicks from the 1960s I’ve seen. Lon Chaney Jr., Sid Haig, and the two evil little girls, Jill Banner and Beverly Washburn are amazing in their parts. I also love the score by Ronald Stein, especially the upbeat intro with Lon. If you haven’t seen it, check it out.

Martin (1978)

Romero is most known for Night of the Living Dead, however, Martin is my favorite of his films. If you're sick of the conventional vampire film, check this one out!!!

Burial Ground (1980)

I love this movie for one reason only...Peter Bark! His performance is creepy and funny at the same time...is that possible? Hell yeah and Peter Bark makes it possible.
